4,000 plastic eggs. 300 hot dogs. 150 children and their families.
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt brought much joy to children in Calallen and surrounding areas. Thousands of eggs covered the church grounds, filled with goodies and just waiting to be collected by intrepid seekers. carrying their bags, baskets, and buckets. Children were invited to participate in age-group staggered hunts throughout the afternoon. Inside the church, children and their families were treated to a free lunch and brightly-colored arts and crafts projects. The event concluded with a prize give-away, with over 20 children going home with an extra-special treat, and an invitation to our Easter services the following Sunday for anyone who needed a church home during this holy season.
This outreach event is one of several sponsored by the Children’s Ministry throughout the year. We believe that one way to be a good neighbor in our community is by creating a fun-filled environment where children of all ages can feel at home. We were excited to see the great turn out at this year’s Easter Egg Hunt, and look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
